About Table
Table is about the things we use every day.
The cup you reach for in the morning. A butter dish that lives on the bench. A platter that comes out when friends are over. Useful pieces with enough character to make the everyday feel a little less ordinary.
Table Ceramics is made in Palmerston North, Manawatū, by Fiona Odering.
Fiona started Table from a love of simple, useful objects and the way they become part of a home. She makes organic forms by hand, with subtle variations in shape, texture and colour. Nothing is perfectly uniform, and that’s part of what makes each piece feel like Table.
The collection is designed to be lived with. Some pieces are quiet and timeless, while others bring colour, flowers or an unexpected detail to the table. They are ceramics for everyday meals, shared tables and the occasions that call for something a little special.
With three children and a busy family life, Fiona knows that most days aren't slow or carefully styled. They are full. Working with clay offers something different, it is hands on, physical and slower. Each piece is shaped, finished and considered before it finds its way into someone's home.
Table's tableware is made to work together without needing to match. Timeless neutrals sit alongside colour, everyday pieces alongside servingware, and the occasional one off that catches your eye.
The idea is simple ~ build a table that feels like yours.
It doesn’t need to match. We think it’s better when it doesn’t.
